Carnival Cruise Line Earns Four Porthole Cruise Magazine Readers Choice Awards, Including Best Value for the Money and Best Mobile App

Carnival Cruise Line was once again a big winner in the Porthole Cruise Magazine Readers Choice Awards, earning top honors in four different categories, including Best Value for the Money for the 21st year in a row, as well as best mobile app, best cruise director and best onboard computer facilities.

Carnival earned the Best Value award for providing an affordable vacation experience with a wide range of free of charge on board options, ranging from delicious burgers and BBQ from Food Network star and partner Guy Fieri and relaxing Serenity adults-only retreats to top-notch entertainment choices like Playlist Productions and Punchliner Comedy Club performances.

Carnival’s HubApp, is the most popular app in cruising with more than six million downloads, and provides guests with an endless array of information and options to maximize their fun on board, including a day-by-day schedule of activities and opportunities to pre-book shore excursions and dining reservations. The app also offers a pizza and beer delivery option where guests can place their order and have it brought to them anywhere on board. The app was recently expanded with additional information on onboard youth activities and is taking on more functionality for booked guests to transact and make plans even before embarking on their cruise.

Recently named the cruise director of Carnival’s newest and most innovative ship, Mardi Gras, Matt Mitcham is one of the most popular cruise directors in the industry known for his boundless energy and passion for making sure guests return home with incredible vacation memories.
